Show 9
Hey all,
A treat of a show awaits you!
Tunes from Hussies, T54, Cloud Nothings, The Shrugs, Danzig, Guided By Voices and The Breeders all mixed in with a tremendous interview with Geoff Doube of The Shrugs running through 10 of his top albums and the memories/stories attached thereto.
It may not sound much, but I reckon it's the best show yet...admittedly it was not a Herculean effort to topple the previous 8 efforts, but y'know, small victories and all that.
Ta for listening!
Rob

Show 7
Greetings Troncasters,
Trusting all is well in this city of mysterious dead people, BMX's flying off bridges and decent netball teams. This weeks show features some seriously great tunes, even if i do say so myself. Not all of it is from Htown of course, but a decent amount of it is. Check out Birds of Passage, Conway and Strayhound for three fine fine 'acts' dwelling here right now.
All in all this episode there are tunes from Atlas Sound, The Vacants, Deer Park, Calamari Bushmen, Strayhound, Conway, Dick Dynamite and the Doppelgangers, Roy Irwin, Birds of Passage, Kill the Zodiac, Abe Vigoda and Huw M.
Anyhoo, Sat 17th July has two mighty fine shows, a free one at Ward Lane put on by Auteur House to celebrate their anniversaire, with Disco Volante, Dick Dynamite, Conway, Cane of Punishment and a little surprise. At Flow Die!Die!Die! return to our city with Popstrangers who I recently saw in Auckland and enjoyed a lot, and crowd bringers Milk Train.
Enjoy!
Rob
Show 6
Well. What a Palaver.
A mere nine months after the last podcast and with a computer that actually works in tow, I give unto you Troncast #6. Obviously a lot has happened in that time, but thanks to dual core power, that kind of sabbatical shouldn't happen again soon. Evidently you've all survived without it. You must've been watching those ads on the telly and got yourselves prepared for disaster to strike. Good on you.
There's a distinct lack of gig news in this episode, cos not an awful lot is happening. Bugger. Forgot to mention the Monster Ball this Saturday the 19th of June at the Meteor. Ah well. Efficient as ever.
No interviews this time, but tunes from... Not Cool, Cry Wolf, Trucker, Hand of Glory, Strayhound, This Night Creeps, The Bathtub Sophist, The Shrugs, Eeling, Rumpus Room, Radio Over Moscow and Ghosts of Electricity.
Chuck your tunes/demos etc to thetroncast@gmail.com
Til next time!
Rob
